Assistant Baker/Cashier- High School/Highland Park Elementary - 32.5 hrs/week

$18.27/hr* (*combo hourly rate)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assistants provide support to the department and may be asked to fulfill the duties of the Head Cook or Head Baker.
  • Plans the preparation of all cooked and baked items
  • Reports inferior quality of food or faulty equipment to the appropriate authority.
  • Prepares food according to a planned menu and tested, uniform recipes, and determines if the finished product is of best quality both in flavor and appearance before it is served.
  • Assists with quantity food preparation.
  • Assists with the daily cleaning of all kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and sanitary conditions are met.
  • Sets up/ breaks down serving lines (salad bar, hot food, ala carte etc).
  • Cashiers operates cash register and prepares reports regarding student’s lunch accounts.
  • Cashiers counts money, makes change, complete related reports and may bring money bags to the Robins Administration Offices.
  • Reports to teachers, principal, nurse and/or security personnel as appropriate regarding infractions, safety concerns, injuries, or other issues involving students.

Additional Duties

  • May collect count and deposit food services program monies.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.
