Traffic Education Coordinator

Reports To:         Supervisor, Driver’s Education
  
SUMMARY:     Coordinates Driver’s Education Program for Havre Public Schools
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    Other duties may be assigned

  • Coordinates student application process for all eligible students.
  • Coordinates instructor hiring with district personnel office.
  • Conducts and/or supervises parent meeting(s).
  • Determines number of needed classroom sections and compiles class lists.
  • Develops master student driving schedule.
  • Assists instructors with minor student discipline matters.
  • Refers major student discipline and/or program issues to designated administrator.
  • Solicits and completes paperwork for car rentals.
  • Secures appropriate insurance for program vehicles.
  • Secures equipment for each car as required by the state of Montana.
  • Works with car dealerships regarding any car trouble during program.
  • Presents names of students completing program to appropriate official for sign-off.
  • Completes records as required by district/state and distributes accordingly.

 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:   None.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Valid Montana Teaching Certificate with Driver’s Education Endorsement and Approval; Valid Montana driver’s license.
