Traffic Education Coordinator
Department: High School Instruction
Reports To: Supervisor, Driver’s Education
SUMMARY: Coordinates Driver’s Education Program for Havre Public Schools
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned
- Coordinates student application process for all eligible students.
- Coordinates instructor hiring with district personnel office.
- Conducts and/or supervises parent meeting(s).
- Determines number of needed classroom sections and compiles class lists.
- Develops master student driving schedule.
- Assists instructors with minor student discipline matters.
- Refers major student discipline and/or program issues to designated administrator.
- Solicits and completes paperwork for car rentals.
- Secures appropriate insurance for program vehicles.
- Secures equipment for each car as required by the state of Montana.
- Works with car dealerships regarding any car trouble during program.
- Presents names of students completing program to appropriate official for sign-off.
- Completes records as required by district/state and distributes accordingly.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Valid Montana Teaching Certificate with Driver’s Education Endorsement and Approval; Valid Montana driver’s license.
