3rd Grade Literacy Fair!
We are excited to announce our upcoming Literacy Fair! This event has been developed as an opportunity for students to showcase their love of reading! All students are invited to participate in this optional event.
Participating students get to choose a favorite book, series, or author they want to encourage others to read. Using the guidelines for each category (fiction or non-fiction), your student can then plan a project to tell others how great of a book it is!
This project will need to be completed outside of school. If you would like to attend a work night, information is below. While we strongly encourage parental involvement in this project, it must be student driven. If your student would like to participate, please help them fill out the entry form and return to his/her teacher. This will help us plan for space.
The Literacy Fair projects will be on display during the Lincoln-McKinley Open House on May 11th from 5:30-6:30. Below is a link with more information. If you have any questions or are in need of some extra direction, please contact your student’s teacher.

Family Work Night!
Please join us on April 30th from 5-6 p.m. for a work night to get help and suggestions for completing projects. Students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. We will provide scissors, glue, and paper. Students will also have access to computers so they can type and print their story elements if they choose. Please bring any other craft supplies you need!
