    Meningococcal VaccineMeningitis is a disease that can

    Become very serious, very quickly. The meningococcal

    vaccine is the best way to protect teens from getting

    meningococcal disease.  Start series at age 11.

    HPV-  The HPV vaccine is recommended for preteen boys and

    girls at age 11 or 12 so they are protected before ever being

    exposed to the virus. HPV vaccine also produces a higher

     immune response in preteens than in older adolescents, that’s

    why it is recommended that the series be started at age 11.

    Hepatitis A-  is a liver disease caused by the hepatitis A virus.

    Hepatitis A can affect anyone.  Can start 2-dose series at age 1.
